Mattingly Dr., 41600 block, 12:55 a.m. Oct. 21. A kitchen appliance was taken from a construction site.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Seneca Sq., 20200 block, 11:35 p.m. Oct. 21. A purse was taken from a vehicle.

Shady Glen Terr., 44180 block, 11:41 a.m. Oct. 20. A Global Positioning System device was taken from a vehicle.

Tippecanoe Terr., 44100 block, 7:20 p.m. Oct. 18. A CD player and tools were stolen from a vehicle.

Tradewind Dr., 23300 block, 4 p.m. Oct. 18 to 6:30 a.m. Oct. 21. A kitchen appliance was stolen from a house under construction.

VANDALISM

Barnstead Dr., 43300 block, 5:30 p.m. Oct. 6 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 22. A window was damaged.

Waxpool Rd., 43000 block, 11:32 p.m. Oct. 20. A pedestrian tunnel was marked with graffiti.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Ticonderoga Rd., 26400 block, noon to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 19. A purse was taken from a vehicle entered by damaging a window.

Colonial Hwy., 39200 block, 3:11 p.m. Oct. 21. A resident received a phone call from someone claiming to work for Medicare’s verification department. The caller had personal information about the resident, who disconnected the call and contacted a bank. No unauthorized financial activity was found.

Colonial Hwy., 39000 block, 6 p.m. Oct. 22 to 9:30 a.m. Oct. 23. A business was entered by damaging a window, and a 1997 Ford pickup was stolen from a parking lot.

Karen Hope Ct., 17700 block, 10 p.m. Oct. 17 to 7:25 a.m. Oct. 18. Cash was stolen from a vehicle entered by damaging a window.

Evening Star Dr., 16800 block, midnight Oct. 13 to 11:59 p.m. Oct. 23. Plumbing materials were stolen from a construction site.

STERLING AREA
SEXUAL ASSAULTS

Potomac View and South Cottage roads, 7:20 p.m. Oct. 21. A man hugged a woman and kissed her on the cheek at a bus stop near Northern Virginia Community College. The woman reported the incident the next day, after learning of a similar incident on the campus reported a day earlier.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Loudoun Park Lane, 46100 block, 2:22 to 2:31 p.m. Oct. 19. A purse and a tablet computer were stolen from a vehicle entered by damaging a window.

Towncenter Plaza, 21700 block, 2:45 to 3:15 p.m. Oct. 18. Medication was stolen from a vehicle.

VANDALISM

Derrydale Sq., 20800 block, 7:16 a.m. Oct. 18. Six vehicles were spray-painted.

Monarch Dr., unit block, 9:03 p.m. Oct. 21. A man spoke angrily outside a door of a residence. A resident closed the door, and the man kicked it, causing damage.
