Toys are being collected for Leesburg’s Toys for Tots campaign through Dec. 13. Donations will be distributed only within Loudoun County.
Toys should be new and unwrapped and will be given to children ages 1 to 12.

A 23-year-veteran of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office,
1st Lt. Russ Wall, recently graduated from the 31st session of the Virginia Police Chiefs Foundation Professional Leadership School.
The three-week program, which is conducted in cooperation with the University of Richmond, is designed for people who serve in command and executive-level positions within their agencies.
The curriculum focuses on the study of leadership at an advanced level. The objective is to instill the best practices in leadership. Participants are challenged to reflect upon their own leadership competency and examine ways of achieving personal and professional growth.
Wall serves in the Field Operations Division as the assistant commander of the Dulles South Station in Chantilly.
Leesburg will offer free parking throughout the holiday season in the Town Hall parking garage and at on-street parking meters downtown.
The two-hour limit at on-street meters will remain in effect during the free holiday parking promotion. Free parking will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday and continue until 8 a.m. Jan. 3.
