Man charged in rapes, sexual battery of minors is arrested in Woodbridge

A man who is accused of sexually molesting a minor over about a decade was arrested at his family’s Woodbridge home Monday, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

Edmond N. Londres was wanted by Fairfax County police on a charge of aggravated sexual battery.

U.S. marshals said they received a tip that Londres might be performing sexual acts on another minor. The marshals said they learned that Londres was at his family’s home. He was apprehended there without incident, they said.

After his arrest and interrogation, authorities filed two additional charges of rape and aggravated sexual battery against Londres, the marshals said.

Londres has previous convictions of larceny, statutory burglary, receiving stolen property and unlawful entry, the marshals said.

Additional details were not immediately available.
