Man dies after being hit by dump truck

Update, 10:15 p.m.:

The man who was struck by a dump truck in Prince George’s County has died, police said.

County police spokesman Cpl. Larry Johnson said the man was declared dead at a local hospital. Police are investigating the incident as an apparent suicide, Johnson said.


A man was critically injured Wednesday afternoon when he was struck by a dump truck east of Capitol Heights, Prince George’s County police said.

The accident happened near the intersection of Central Avenue and Daimler Drive about 5:15 p.m., said Cpl. Larry Johnson, a spokesman. The man was taken to a hospital with critical injuries, he said.

Police said they were investigating reports that the man may have walked in front of the vehicle.
