Man fatally shot Saturday in Southeast DC

A 38-year-old male was fatally shot early Saturday in Southeast D.C., police said.

Around 2:14 a.m., police respond to a call reporting multiple gunshots near the intersection of 53rd Street and E Street. When officers arrived, they found the body of Christopher Ballard from Southeast D.C., in the street, D.C. police said.

Police spokesman Araz Alali said the suspect remains at large and a reward up to $25,000 is being offered to those who can provide information that leads to an arrest.
