Man found dead on Route. 50 was killed in motorcycle crash: police

A man found dead Monday on the median of Route 50 in Cheverly has been identified as a 34-year-old District man, and authorities said he was killed in a motorcycle crash.

Kevin Mahlon Christie, 34, was operating a 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle when he collided with a guard rail, ejecting him from the motorcycle, according to Maryland State Police. The crash occurred at about 9:52 p.m. on June 16, and did not involved any other vehicle, police said.

Christie was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency medical personnel on Monday morning. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
