Man killed in one-car crash in Clinton

A 17-year-old died Wednesday when his car veered off a road in Clinton and struck a tree, Prince George’s County police said.

The accident happened on Brandywine Road, where police found a white Acura that left the two-lane road for unknown reasons, said Cpl. Maria McKinney, a spokeswoman. Authorities pronounced the teen dead at the scene, but officials did not identify him immediately.

The teen was the only person in the car, McKinney said, and he was wearing a seatbelt.
