Man shot and killed in Prince George’s County identified as Maurice Donnell Featherson

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating the death of a 27-year-old man who was fatally shot outside a Suitland parking lot Friday night.

The man, Maurice Donnell Featherson, of Northeast Washington, was found wounded in the 3300 block of Curtis Drive after police were called to the scene about 7:30 p.m., according to authorities. He later died at a hospital.

Detectives are working to establish a possible motive and identify suspects. They do not believe the shooting was random. Anyone with information is asked to call the department’s homicide unit at 301-772-4925 or Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
