Former President Bill Clinton has been booked for a fundraiser next month to benefit the Maryland gubernatorial campaign of Lt. Gov. Anthony G. Brown (D).
The May 13 event is being held in Potomac, according to a copy of an invitation shared with The Washington Post. Ticket prices range from $500 to $4,000.
Clinton endorsed Brown earlier this month, calling him “uniquely qualified to lead Maryland.”
Brown faces Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler and Del. Heather R. Mizeur (Montgomery) in the June 24 Democratic primary.
Brown and Gansler have resumed fundraising efforts since the April 7 adjournment of the Maryland General Assembly session. Both were prohibited by law from soliciting contributions during the 90-day session.
Mizeur was exempt from the ban because she is participating in the state’s public financing system.
