U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will return to Maryland next week to campaign for gubernatorial candidate Ben Jealous.

The pair will hold a "Medicare-for-All" rally at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at Notre Dame university in Baltimore. Jealous is scheduled to release his health-care plan next week.

Earlier this summer, Sanders endorsed Jealous, one of eight Democrats seeking to challenge Gov. Larry Hogan (R) next November. The primary is in June.

Other candidates seeking the Democratic nomination are: Prince George's County Executive Rushern L. Baker III, Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz, state Sen. Richard S. Madaleno Jr. (Montgomery), policy consultant Maya Rockeymoore Cummings, tech entrepreneur Alec Ross, lawyer James L. Shea and Krishanti Vignarajah, a former policy aide for Michelle Obama.
