Dog hit by car bites Samaritan: Red Orchid Way, 3200 block, Kensington, Jan. 31. A small dog that was struck by a car bit the hand of a good Samaritan who was trying to help it. While the Samaritan called animal services, someone, presumably the owner, came to retrieve the dog. Animal services met with the dog’s owner, and arrangements were made to take the injured animal to a vet. The canine did not suffer major injuries. It was placed under a standard 10-day home quarantine for biting the Samaritan. The owner told the investigator that a family member was watching the dog when it escaped from the home.
