Investigating defiled deck: Elioak Terr., 7500 block, Gaithersburg, June 12. An anonymous caller complained to animal services that a dog was being kept outside on a foul-smelling deck littered with feces and had no shelter or water. The dog’s owner was not at home when the investigator arrived, but the investigator reported a beagle mix inside and that the deck was clean and had no odor. The owner said the dog is walked regularly but occasionally put for short periods on the deck, which is cleaned up if the dog defecates. Because the complaint was anonymous, the investigator was unable to discuss his findings.
