Food deliveryman bitten: Carrolton Rd., 14800 block, Rockville, Sept. 22. A food deliveryman reported being bitten in the leg by dogs at a residence. After the encounter with the two black mixed-breed dogs on the porch, the man left the food order, went home to clean the wounds and reported the bite. The dogs’ owner said she hadn’t known her husband had placed a delivery order and had let the dogs outside. The dogs were placed under a standard 10-day quarantine. The man suffered a minor bite injury.

Microchip clinic : For cats and dogs, the Montgomery County Humane Society will offer a microchip clinic, a service that helps reunite lost pets with their owners. The microchip, about the size of a grain of rice, is inserted under the animal’s skin and identifies the pet when it is “scanned” by a device. The clinic is 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aspin Hill Memorial Park, at the corner of Georgia Avenue and Aspen Hill Road, Silver Spring. Enter from Aspen Hill Road. $35. 240-773-5967 or shtml
