Prowlin' stallion produces fines: Martinsburg Rd., 19000 block, Dickerson, Oct. 23. An owner of horses reported a neighbor’s stallion regularly breaking out of its pasture and coming onto the property trying to mate with the owner’s horses. The investigation revealed that the stallion had previously attempted to breed with up to five of the complainant’s horses. As a result, the officer issued five citations for unwanted contact, at $500 each, plus a $100 citation for being loose, a $100 citation for damaging the neighbor’s fence and a $100 fine for animal tresspassing. The county planned to request a hearing for the courts to determine whether the stallion’s owner should relinquish ownership.
