Sniffing out an eviction: 25100 block, Tralee Ct., Damascus, Aug. 21. Animal services received an anonymous tip that two dogs may have been abandoned by their owner. The caller said that the dog owner had been evicted and had left a mastiff and a pug inside the dwelling. An officer visited the residence and saw the two pets inside, in apparently good condition. The officer contacted the homeowner, who said the soon-to-be evicted tenants were still living in the house . Animal services returned after the eviction and verified that the tenants had removed the dogs.
