Pit bulls attack dog: 12900 block, Morning Side Lane, Silver Spring, Nov. 30. Animal services officers captured two loose pit bull-type dogs that charged up to a woman walking her dog and attempted to attack the animal. The two dogs chased the woman back to her property. The woman’s dog suffered an injury during the incident. The owners of the aggressive dogs had called 911 to report that the animals had escaped from their yard. The owners offered to pay the woman’s veterinary bills. They were issued citations for “at large” and “unwanted contact,” which carry $100 and a $500 fines, respectively.
