Frederick Rd., Hungerford Dr., Ladyshire Lane and Rockville Pike, Sept. 9 to 13. A laptop computer, jewelry, sunglasses, a car stereo, clothing, coins and gasoline were stolen from five vehicles.

Glen Mill Rd., 13500 block, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 14. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

ASSAULTS

Fenton St., 8400 block, 2 a.m. Sept. 15. An aggravated assault occurred between acquaintances. Two 25-year-old Silver Spring men and three men, 22, 24 and 26, also of Silver Spring, were arrested.

Georgia Ave., 8500 block, 2:46 p.m. Sept. 9. A man assaulted a person at a bus stop. A 31-year-old Silver Spring man was arrested.

ROBBERIES

Ames Rd., 100 block, 2:54 a.m. Sept. 15. A male and a female assaulted and attempted to rob several people of property.

Castle Blvd., 13800 block, 11:43 p.m. Sept. 12. A masked man used a weapon to rob a person of property.

Castle Blvd., 13900 block, 9:17 p.m. Sept. 13. A male threatened and robbed a person of property.

Fenton St., 8500 block, 10:42 p.m. Sept. 16. Three males forcefully took property from a person.

Sonata Way, 600 block, 6 p.m. Sept. 17. A male robbed a person of property.

Stewart Lane, 11600 block, 3:45 a.m. Sept. 14. Two males robbed a person of property and fled in a four-door, black Nissan Maxima.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Calvin Lane, 300 block, 4:30 a.m. Sept. 19. An attempt was made to enter a residence by kicking in a rear door. The person fled when the occupants woke up and yelled.

Halpine Rd., 100 block, July 11. An 18-year-old man was arrested Aug. 2 in connection with a second-degree burglary, theft, malicious destruction of property and trespassing that occurred at the above time and location. On Aug. 16, a 22-year-old man also was arrested in connection with the incident and charged with second-degree burglary, theft, malicious destruction of property and trespassing. On Sept. 15, a 21-year-old man was also arrested in connection with the same incident and charged with second-degree burglary, theft, malicious destruction of property and trespassing.

Maryland Ave., unit block, 1:40 p.m. Sept. 19. An iPod was stolen from a library.

Montgomery Ave. E., 100 block, 5:22 p.m. Sept. 20. A purse was stolen from a movie theater.

Paulsboro Dr., 900 block, 2:30 to 2:45 p.m. Sept. 17. Chinese currency, jewelry, an iPad, a cellphone charger and a video game console were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked basement door.

Rockville Pike, 700 block, 11 to 11:15 a.m. Sept. 13. A male entered a store and fled with a cellphone that had been left on a counter.

Twinbrook Pkwy., 12300 block, 1 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19. A purse was stolen from an office.

Veirs Mill Rd., 2300 block, 4:08 to 4:13 p.m. Sept. 22. A man entered a residence through a rear basement door. When an occupant heard the noise and went to investigate, the man fled with a jar of coins and a pair of sneakers.

OTHER ARRESTS

Richard Montgomery Dr., 200 block, 9:20 to 9:35 a.m. Sept. 17. A 16-year-old male with a knife was arrested for possession of a deadly weapon on school property.

Veirs Mill Rd., 1200 block, 12:43 a.m. Sept. 18. A 49-year-old man was arrested for violating a protection order.
