E. Melrose St., 100 block, 10:20 p.m. March 13. An armed person threatened a driver, then took the driver’s vehicle and other property.

WEAPONS

Freyman Dr., 8400 block, 2 a.m. March 14. A Chevy Chase man, 36, was arrested in connection with a weapon offense.

VANDALISM

Hollowstone and Morning Gate drives, March 12 to March 17. Someone found graffiti in the area.

Paint Bridge Creek and Old Columbia Pike, 3:45 p.m. March 10. A man exposed himself in a wooded area. A man, 30, was arrested.

Castle Blvd., 13900 block, 5:45 p.m. March 11. A person assaulted an acquaintance.

Piney Branch Rd. and Flower Ave., 9:29 p.m. March 11. People assaulted someone and fled.

Schuyler Rd., 100 block, 1:30 a.m. March 15. A person assaulted someone and fled.

ROBBERIES

East-West Hwy., 8:35 a.m. March 15. A male assaulted and robbed a person.

Fenwick Lane, 1300 block, noon March 14. A male unsuccessfully attempted to rob a person, then fled.

Piney Branch Rd. and Sligo Ave., 4:41 a.m. March 10. Three males assaulted and robbed a person.

Seek Lane and Hood St., 9:55 p.m. March 12. Three males assaulted more than one person during an unsuccessful robbery attempt. No property was reported taken.

Selfridge Rd. (south of Randolph Rd.), 11:40 p.m. March 15. Two males attempted to rob a person of property. Nothing was reported taken.

HOMICIDES

Oxbridge Dr., 11800 block, 9:15 p.m. March 4. A man drove a vehicle in search of an acquaintance who owed him money. He found him in a vehicle and began following him to various locations in Montgomery County. When the man got out of the vehicle, the first man allegedly shot and killed James Allen Frazier. A Rockville man, 29, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a violent felony.

ASSAULTS

Nicholson Farm Rd., 22400 block, 11 p.m. March 13. A person assaulted acquaintances. A Dickerson man, 62, was arrested.

Split Rock Lane, 18500 block, 11 p.m. March 10. Someone assaulted an acquaintance. A Germantown man, 61, was arrested.

ROBBERIES

Swiss Cir., 18200 block, 8:20 p.m. March 8. A male assaulted and attempted to rob a person. Nothing was reported taken.

White Saddle Dr., 19600 block, 9:45 p.m. March 7. Two males, armed with a weapon, threatened and attempted to rob a person. Nothing was reported taken.

Fox Fern Lane, 100 block, 9 p.m. March 10. A residential burglary was reported. Nothing was reported taken, and there was no sign of forced entry.

Caddy Dr., 17700 block, 5:45 p.m. March 18. A burglary was reported at a residence.

Tindal Springs and Fountain Valley drives, 6:30 p.m. March 12 to 8:30 a.m. March 13. A knife, a purse, a coat and cash were stolen from two vehicles. There were no signs of forced entry.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

Richard Montgomery Dr., 200 block, March 18. An 18-year-old man was arrested in connection with a fourth-degree sex offense that occurred between 10 and 10:35 a.m. on Feb. 27.

ROBBERIES

Rollins Ave., 100 block, 10:34 to 10:35 a.m. March 18. Three males entered a store, and one pointed a gun at an occupant. The others went behind a counter and took prescription drugs. The robbers fled through a rear door toward Montrose Road.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Glastonberry Rd., 1700 block, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 13. Jewelry, a coin collection and other property were stolen from a locked attic in a garage at a residence.

OTHER ARRESTS

Calvin Lane, 500 block, 6:45 p.m. March 17. A 35-year-old man was arrested in connection with resisting arrest and providing false statements to a police officer.

Maryland Ave., unit block, 3:38 p.m. March 19 to 3:38 p.m. March 21. A cellphone was stolen from a delivery package.

Veirs Mill Rd. and Midway Ave., 4:21 to 5:30 p.m. March 21. A 56-year-old was arrested in connection with obstructing and hindering a police investigation and providing a false statement to a police officer.

Roanoke Ave., 8100 block, 8:45 p.m. March 20. Two males were arrested in connection with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Maple Ave., 7500 block, 8:50 p.m. March 20. An armed robbery and assault occurred in front of a business.

New Hampshire Ave., 7400 block, 3:22 a.m. March 15. An armed robbery, theft, first-degree assault and reckless endangerment were reported. Five people robbed two people of property and assaulted them.

Willow Ave., 7100 block, 8:14 p.m. March 25. Robbery, assault and theft were reported.
