Nearly two dozen men were arrested last week for allegedly soliciting prostitutes at hotels in Fairfax County, authorities said Wednesday.

Police said 23 men were arrested Aug. 15, after communicating over the Internet with undercover officers they believed were prostitutes.

They made arrangements to meet at one of four hotels in Springfield, Falls Church, Herndon and Tysons Corner, where they were arrested.

All the men were charged with solicitation and one man also was charged with cocaine possession.

Police did not release the suspects’ names or ages, or the names of the hotels involved.

Authorities said police work with local hotels in undercover investigations to thwart prostitution. Anyone with information or concerns about such activity in area businesses can call 1-866-411-8477 or 703-691-2131.
