Two motorcyclists were killed when they collided with a van that turned in front of them on Route 301 at the southern end of Prince George’s County on Thursday night, authorities said.
Maryland State Police said in a news release that Caleb D. Williams and Herby H. Bolick Jr. were headed north on Route 301 when a van headed south turned in front of them, apparently in an attempt to get to Short Cut Road. The two motorcyclists, who were on separate bikes, ran into the side of the van and were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The van’s driver was also injured and taken to a hospital, authorities said.
Police did not immediately release information about charges or citations in the crash, and they said the ages of those killed were not immediately available. The accident is being investigated, authorities said.
