●Southwest Waterfront Fireworks Festival. Eight hours of live music and water-related activities, plus food and beverages from neighborhood vendors. 1-9 p.m. 600 to 900 Water Street SW. Fireworks at 8:30 p.m. on the Washington Channel. Metro: Waterfront. Produced by Hoffman-Madison Waterfront and the Washington Waterfront Association. ●15th Annual Cherry Blossom Freedom Walk. Short, noncompetitive walk and program to celebrate the Japanese American spirit of patriotism and perseverance during World War II. 9 a.m. - noon. National Japanese American Memorial, intersection of D Street and New Jersey and Louisiana avenues NW. Metro: Union Station.
●Asian Art and Culture Day at the Workhouse. Origami workshops and film, traditional costume display, horticulture, brush-painting demonstrations, cherry-
tree planting and other cultural activities. 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Workhouse Arts Center, 9601 Ox Road, Lorton.
