Beyond the Tidal Basin: Introducing Other Great Flowering Cherry Trees. A self-guided tour of more than 20 species and cultivars of flowering cherries, including three introduced by the U.S. National Arboretum and a clone of the tree that first lady Helen Taft planted at the Tidal Basin in 1912. National Arboretum, 24th and R streets NE, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
