Lydia Fraser, 60, who had been a legal secretary since 1979 for the Washington firm of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson, died Feb. 19 at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville. She had liver cancer.

Ms. Fraser, a D.C. resident, did sales work early in her career and then was a legal secretary at the Washington firm of Weissbrodt and Weissbrodt.

Lydia O’Neal Stewart Fraser was born in Washington and graduated from the Holton-Arms School in Bethesda. She attended George Washington University.

She was active in equestrian and dressage activities in Virginia, and organized clinics at VADA/Nova, a dressage organization in Northern Virginia.

Survivors include her father, William Fraser of Washington; a sister, Anne H.S. Fraser of Washington; and two brothers, David Fraser of Willington, Conn., and Alister Fraser of Fort Lauderdale.
