Adrianne Pfautz, nurse

Adrianne Pfautz, a retired nurse who worked in a private practice, died July 6 at her home in Chevy Chase. She was 82.

She had a heart attack, said her daughter, Margaret Scranton.

Mrs. Pfautz came to the Washington region in the 1950s and worked for about 15 years in the Chevy Chase medical office of Dr. W. Luther Hall. She retired in about 1991.

Adrianne Catherine Koch was born in New Rochelle, N.Y., and received her nurse’s training in New York.

Her husband of 48 years, John M. Pfautz III, died in 2005.

Survivors include two children, John M. Pfautz IV of Winter Springs, Fla., and Margaret Scranton of Fredericksburg; and three grandchildren.
