Carol M. Broyles, a homemaker who lived in Temple Hills for nearly five decades, died Sept. 5 at home. She was 70.

The cause was atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, said her daughter, Brenda Reid.

Carol May Bellish was born in Indiana, Pa., and settled in the Washington area in the late 1960s.

Her husband of 32 years, James F. Broyles, died in 1995. Survivors include two children, Brenda Reid of Temple Hills and Jefferson Broyles of Frederick; two sisters; a brother; and a grandson.
