Obituary: Sharon M. Quinn, personnel specialist

Sharon M. Quinn, 58, a supervisory personnel specialist at the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health, died of respiratory failure and sepsis on April 26 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Towson. She lived in North Potomac.

Her husband, Ronald Quinn, confirmed her death.

Sharon Mahon was born in Chambersburg, Pa., and moved to the Washington area as a teenager. She graduated in 1971 from Montgomery County’s Winston Churchill High School. She attended Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania and graduated in 1981 from American University.

Mrs. Quinn worked at NIH for 38 years, retiring about a year and a half ago.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Ronald K. Quinn of North Potomac; her mother, Helen W. Mahon of Rockville; and a brother.
