Police arrest four men in Ballston stabbing

Four men were arrested early Saturday after a 32-year-old man was stabbed at least seven times in the chest and body on North Glebe Road near Ballston, according to Arlington County police.

Dustin Sternbeck, a police spokesman, said the fight occurred about 12:10 a.m. near Henderson Road. He could not say what the argument was about.

Sternbeck said the victim was found a short distance away outside Union Jack’s, a bar. Workers had brought towels and were putting pressure on the man’s wounds until paramedics arrived. He was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital. His condition could not be learned, but Sternbeck said the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Police said the four men who were arrested were charged with malicious wounding and ordered held without bail.
