A 25-year-old man has been arrested in the stabbing death of a teenager who was killed Wednesday night in Southeast Washington, according to D.C. police.
Antonio Shaw, who authorities said has no fixed address, was charged with second-degree murder. He was arrested Thursday about 10:15 p.m. by members of the the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Shaw is charged with killing Ernest Hart, 17, of Southeast Washington during a dispute in the 4600 block of Hillside Road SE.
Police have not stated a motive for the attack, but relatives told WRC-TV that the youth was stabbed during a cookout and that the suspect is an acquaintance of the family. The relatives told the station that the argument was over a piece of chicken.
Shaw was being held in police custody Friday and could be arraigned in D.C. Superior Court either Friday afternoon or Saturday.
