Police arrest two in College Park robbery case

Prince George’s police arrested two men who police say robbed a pair of University of Maryland students in College Park at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

The students were robbed of their phones and a wallet as they walked near Baltimore Avenue and Pontiac Street, police said.

Shortly after the robbery, police stopped a group of men nearby, and a stolen cellphone and wallet were found on the ground, police said.

Two men, both 18, were taken into custody and admitted to the robbery, police said. Akauh Johann Kassi, of Silver Spring, and Diamante Akeem Sulaiman, of Burtonsville, were charged with robbery, second-degree assault and related charges, police said.
