WASHINGTON — Police in the nation’s capital are searching for a man accused in the death of a 3-month-old girl found unconscious last month.

The Washington Post reports 25-year-old Cornell Delvonte Holton has been charged with first-degree murder. Police say officers found Skylar Newman unconsciousness in a District home on March 26 and she died of blunt force trauma at a hospital days later. The medical examiner ruled her death a homicide.

A police report says Holton was the person who called authorities to the home.
