DUMFRIES AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Jefferson Davis Hwy. and River Heritage Blvd., 10:15 p.m. Aug. 14. A gunman stole several cartons of cigarettes from a convenience store. Earlier, the man stole cigarettes from businesses in the 17100 and 16700 blocks of Jefferson Davis Highway. A 29-year-old Dumfries man was arrested.

Jefferson Davis Hwy., 17400 block, midnight to 8:50 a.m. Aug. 16. Cash was stolen from two businesses entered by breaking glass front doors.

River Heritage Blvd., 16600 block, 11 p.m. Aug. 15 to 7:20 a.m. Aug. 16. An attempt was made to enter three businesses by damaging the glass front doors.

Waterway Dr., 5000 block, 10:15 p.m. Aug. 15 to 8 a.m. Aug. 16. Cash was stolen from a business entered by breaking a glass front door.

Waterway Dr., 5100 block, 9 p.m. Aug. 15 to 3:23 a.m. Aug. 16. A business was entered by breaking a glass front door.

GAINESVILLE AREA
SEXUAL ASSAULTS

Crescent Park Dr., 8000 block, 2:46 p.m. Aug. 13. A man sexually assaulted a female acquaintance. A 26-year-old Gainesville man was arrested.

MANASSAS AREA
ROBBERIES

Coverstone Dr., 10900 block, 11:21 p.m. Aug. 15. Three males assaulted a man on a bike and attempted to rob him of a backpack and items from his pockets. The three fled when the cyclist yelled for help.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Amblewood Dr., 13100 block, 10 a.m. Aug. 9 to 1:28 p.m. Aug. 18. Two TVs, jewelry and other items were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a basement window.

Aragon Ct., 10300 block, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 14. Cash, a computer tablet and head phones were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked rear door.

Bulloch Dr., 10900 block, 10 p.m. Aug. 12 to 9 a.m. Aug. 13. Cash was stolen from a business entered by breaking a front glass door.

Lyon Cir., 8000 block, 6 to 10 p.m. Aug. 16. An attempt was made to enter a residence through a living room window.

Sudley Rd., 8900 block, 5 p.m. Aug. 9 to 12:30 p.m. Aug. 10. An attempt was made to enter a business through a door.

Van Doren Rd., 13700 block, 10 p.m. Aug. 19. A resident heard a noise and found a ladder had been moved from the unlocked garage to the side of the residence. Two hours later, the resident heard another noise and found a person standing in the driveway. The person fled when the resident yelled.

TRIANGLE AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Kilmer Lane, 18100 block, 4:40 a.m. Aug. 18. A person reached through an open window of a residence and grabbed an MP3 player from a nightstand. The person fled when a resident yelled.

Soundview Cir., 3900 block, 8 a.m. July 1 to 1:25 p.m. Aug. 20. Jewelry and personal papers were stolen from a residence.

WOODBRIDGE AREA
SEXUAL ASSAULTS

Arizona Ave., 14700 block, 11:30 p.m. Aug. 20. A man entered a residence through a window and sexually assaulted a female acquaintance. A 30-year-old Woodbridge man was arrested.

ROBBERIES

Jefferson Davis Hwy., 15800 block, 8:46 p.m. Aug. 20. A man waved down a male motorist who was backing out of a parking space. When the motorist rolled down the passenger-side window, the man attempted to grab a purse from a female passenger, who resisted. The man fled empty-handed in a vehicle.

Potomac Mills Cir., 2700 block, 9:04 p.m. Aug. 19. Five males in a parking lot attempted to rob a woman of her cellphone. She resisted, and they knocked her to the ground and hit her in the face. The group fled empty-handed.

Westminster Lane, 14300 block, 2:23 a.m. Aug. 20. Three men hit a male pedestrian in the back of the head, knocking him to the ground, and robbed him of cash.

Darby Brooke Ct., 12700 block, 10 p.m. Aug. 15 to 5:05 a.m. Aug. 16. An attempt was made to enter a business by breaking a glass front door.

Hedges Run Dr., 12400 block, 9 p.m. Aug. 15 to 8:30 a.m. Aug. 16. Cash was stolen from a business entered by breaking a glass front door. An attempt was made to enter another business by breaking a glass front door.

Jefferson Davis Hwy., 13500 block, 7:30 p.m. Aug. 17 to 10:45 a.m. Aug. 18. Cash was stolen from a business entered by breaking a glass front door. An attempt was made to enter another business by breaking a glass front door.

Kendall Dr., 4500 block, 7:45 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. Aug. 14. Cash and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked rear door.

Occoquan Rd., 13200 block, 9 p.m. Aug. 17 to 7:16 a.m. Aug. 18. Cash was stolen from two businesses entered by breaking glass front doors.

Office Pl., 13600 block, 6:07 p.m. Aug. 14 to 6:05 a.m. Aug. 15. Two laptop computers were stolen from an office entered by breaking a rear window.

ASSAULTS

Taney Rd., 9200 block, 7:25 p.m. Aug. 20. A man assaulted another man, who was treated for injuries. A 25-year-old Woodbridge man was arrested.

WEAPONS

Devonshire Ct., 8600 block, 11:50 p.m. Aug. 8. During an argument between and man and a female acquaintance, the man brandished a handgun at two men who attempted to intervene. A 33-year-old Manassas man was arrested.

ROBBERIES

Centreville Rd. and Liberia Ave., 6:23 p.m. Aug. 16. A man robbed a pizza deliveryman of marijuana. Two 20-year-old Manassas men were arrested.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Cloverhill Rd., 9600 block and Greenleaf Dr., 1000 block, Aug. 20. Cash, a GPS device, electronics, a purse, prescription medicine and shoes were stolen from three vehicles.

Jackson Ave., 8800 block, 9 a.m. Aug. 14. Cash, a wallet containing gift cards, a GPS unit and jewelry were stolen from two vehicles.

Mathis Ave., 9100 block, noon Aug. 7. A woman stole several mini bottles of alcohol from a liquor store.

Stonewall Rd. and Mckenzie Lane, 3 a.m. Aug. 20. A computer and wallet were stolen from a vehicle.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Bragg Lane, 9700 block, Aug. 19 to 4 a.m. Aug. 20. A blue 2004 Dodge Intrepid was stolen.

Clark Pl., 9700 block, 7 p.m. Aug. 17 to 2 p.m. Aug. 18. A green 1994 Jeep Cherokee was stolen.
