The Animal Control Office offers these anti-rabies tips:

→Have your pets and/or livestock vaccinated.

→Limit the possibility of exposure by keeping animals on your property. Do not let pets roam free.

→Do not leave garbage or pet food outside where it could attract wild or stray animals.

→Do not treat wild animals as pets.

→If your pet is attacked or bitten by another animal, or if you see an animal acting strangely, call animal control at 703-792-6500.
