NASA’s Opportunity rover captured spectacular views of Mars
A veteran with PTSD says his pit bull “was the force that pulled me back into society.” So he started a program to connect other emotionally wounded warriors with shelter dogs.

Even as he continues his own recovery, a veteran has launched P2V.org (Pets to Vets), a nonprofit group that seeks to link service members and first responders with shelter animals and to help them with related expenses and training.
NASA tried one last time to contact its record-setting Mars rover Opportunity, but declared it dead on Feb. 13, 2019, 15 years after arriving at the Red Planet. The solar-powered rover has been silent for eight months, victim of one of the most intense dust storms in decades.
