Prostitute sexually assaulted, robbed in hotel room invasion

A 25-year-old prostitute who had advertised online was allegedly sexually assaulted and robbed by three men who forced their way into her Alexandria area hotel room and brandished a gun, Fairfax County police said.

The California woman was attacked around 4:30 a.m. Thursday in the hotel in the 5700 block of Van Dorn Street, police said. The suspects then took the woman’s money and personal property.

Fairfax detectives were able to locate the three men in Maryland and the District, and the men were taken into custody with the help of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force.

Michael Reed, 19, of the 6100 block of Edsall Road in Alexandria was charged with rape, robbery and abduction with intent to defile, police said. He is in the Fairfax County jail.

Daqwanne Pearson, 18, of the 3900 block of 21st Street in Temple Hills was charged with robbery and abduction with intent to defile, police said. He is in jail in Maryland awaiting extradition.

Reginald Gooden, 18, of the 2900 block of Second Street in Southeast Washington was charged with robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, animate object penetration and abduction with intent to defile. He is being held in jail in the District awaiting extradition.

Detectives believe the suspects may have carried out similar assaults on other occasions. Anyone with information is urged to contact police, or call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS/8477.
