Three Fairfax County police officers were injured during a car chase involving a homicide suspect that ended with the person’s capture on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
Police tweeted around 12:40 p.m. that the person ran from his or her vehicle after a chase and was taken into custody on the bridge, which spans the Potomac River on the Beltway.
The three officers suffered injuries that were not life-threatening and were taken to the hospital for observation, police said. Authorities did not immediately say how the officers were injured or when the chase began.
