Man found dead after shooting in Congress Heights in Southeast Washington

A Maryland man died after an apparent shooting Saturday night in the Congress Heights neighborhood of Southeast Washington, D.C. police said.

Harold Biddiex, 35, of Greenbelt, was found in front of a house with apparent gunshot wounds at about 8:26 p.m. in the 600 block of Mellon Street SE after police responded to the report of a shooting in the 2700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE, police said.

A car on Mellon Street also was struck by gunfire, police said.
