A 38-year-old man was killed in Northwest Washington three months ago, officials said Wednesday.

At 8:50 p.m. on March 23, D.C. police responded to reports of an unconscious person at the 1500 block of Ogden Street NW. They found the victim, identified as Ramon Gomez-Yanez, lying on a sidewalk, police said. He was unresponsive and did not display signs of life.

Gomez-Yanez was later transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, which conducted an autopsy. The office concluded that the victim’s death was a homicide and that his cause of death was blunt-force trauma.
