Police in the District are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who they believe was involved in a June robbery that turned fatal in Southeast Washington.

Authorities released a video showing the man they are calling a “person of interest” in the case. In the short video, the man is seen running along a street.

Jason Antonio Dale, 39, of Southeast Washington was killed in the June 12 incident that happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Parkland Place SE in the Congress Heights neighborhood, according to police.

Officers responded to the report of a shooting, and when they arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man, who was later identified as Dale, was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered. Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.
