Five people were shot in Southeast Washington early Sunday, D.C. police said.
The shooting happened about 12:15 a.m. in the 4300 block of Wheeler Road Southeast, said Officer Sean Hickman, a police department spokesman. The location is near the intersection of Wheeler Road and Bellevue Street.
Hickman said a car pulled up to a group of people, shots were fired, and the car drove off. Hickman said the victims, all juveniles, were conscious and had non-life-threatening injuries.
No suspect had been named late Sunday morning.
