Authorities said there was a major house fire overnight in Northern Virginia but no one was injured.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. in the 100 block of River Park Lane in the Great Falls area at a home that had roughly 10,000 square feet of space.

There are no hydrants in that section of Fairfax County so authorities said they had to shuttle water using tankers to the scene and it took several hours to get the fire under control, according to officials from the Fairfax County Fire department.

Authorities said the home is a “complete loss” and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

One firefighter was transported to an area hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.
