Two women were held against their will Saturday in a house in the LeDroit Park/Bloomingdale area of Northwest Washington, and police said an arrest was made.
They said they received a call about 10:30 p.m. indicating that someone was being held in the 200 block of Elm Street NW.
When officers arrived, they found two victims, the police said.
They said Adam Murray, 24, of Northwest, was arrested and charged with kidnaping.
Neither of the victims was injured, police said.
Elm Street is three blocks long and runs eastward from the east side of Howard University Hospital. A Howard University dormitory for male undergraduates is on the street, along with renovated rowhouses and detached houses.
