D.C. police arrested a suspect Monday in the fatal stabbing of a 46-year-old man who was attacked three months ago near the Eckington neighborhood of Northeast Washington.
Gregory Williams, 42, of Northwest Washington was charged with first-degree murder while armed. He could make an initial appearance in D.C. Superior Court on Tuesday.
The stabbing occurred about 11:20 p.m. Sept. 23 in the 1700 block of North Capitol Street NE. The victim, Andrew A. Cook III, 46, of Northeast Washington was pronounced dead at a hospital.
