A man was fatally shot Thursday in a homicide in the District, police said.

Devonte Wilson, 25, of Northwest, was found in a vehicle about 8 p.m. in the 700 block of Morton Street NW, the police said. Officers went there in response to a report of a car crash, but found that Wilson had been shot, police said.

They said he was taken to a hospital but died Friday.

No information was available about any motive or suspect.
