Man found shot to death in Northeast D.C. on Saturday night

Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s help after a 22-year-old man was shot to death Saturday night in Northeast Washington.

D.C. police said 22-year-old Aaron George of Northeast was found in the 4200 block of East Capitol Street NE, near the Benning Road Apartments.

He had been shot several times, they said.

Police responded to the scene at about 9:33 p.m. for a report of a shooting. D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel who responded found George was dead at the scene, police said.

Police offered a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for the slaying, and said tips may be called in to 202-727-9099, or submitted anonymously by text message to 50411.
