Police identify Temple Hills man slain Saturday in Prince George’s

A Temple Hills man was fatally shot Saturday evening in Prince George’s County, police said.

Police said they found Joseph Bryant Carney, 37, at about 5:20 p.m. in a parking lot in the 2300 block of Iverson Street after a shooting was reported there.

Carney had multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital where he died, police said.

The site is in the Hillcrest Heights area, about a mile south of Southern Avenue and the border between the county and the District.

The investigation into his death is ongoing, police said.
