Metro police are looking for victims and/or witnesses to a Thursday afternoon rush-hour incident involving a group of teenagers harassing passengers on the Red Line.

Metro spokesman Dan Stessel said Metro police received a call around 4:4o p.m. regarding a group of about 20 teenagers who were yelling, teasing and harassing passengers after the group boarded the train at the NoMa Metro station, heading toward Shady Grove. Stessel said several of the teens even grabbed the hat off one passenger.

Metro police met the train at Gallery Place station, Stessel said, and several of the teens were identified and removed from the train. The teens were released from custody after their identifications were checked to determine whether they had any outstanding warrants.

Stessel said Metro is now looking for victims of the incident or witnesses to come forward. Individuals are asked to call 202-962-2121 and ask to speak to a detective regarding incident No. 201600917.

In a separate incident Thursday morning, six juveniles were arrested following a fight also on the Red Line at Gallery Place station that led to about 30 youths being removed from the train.
