A man was killed early Friday in a single-vehicle crash in Southwest Washington, the D.C. police said.
Dauntay Demetrice Carroll, 28, of Southeast was a passenger in a car that was traveling south on South Capitol Street SW about 12:30 a.m. when it went out of control in the 2800 block of South Capitol approaching Malcolm X Avenue, the police said.
The car struck a brick security wall outside Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, partially ejecting the passenger. He died at a hospital. The driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the police said.
