A pedestrian was gravely injured around midnight Monday night on North Capitol Street just above the NoMa area, according to D.C. police.
Police said “an accident involving a pedestrian” occurred in the 1500 block of North Capitol.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital “with critical injuries, “ the police said.
The incident was reported on the stretch of North Capitol between P Street and Florida Avenue, near the Bloomingdale and Eckington neighborhoods.
The incident occurred on an overcast night of drizzle, mist and flog that left streets glistening with moisture.
Earlier in the night, two pedestrians were struck and critically injured in the Largo area of Prince George’s County.
