A man was struck by a train and killed Tuesday night at the Capitol Heights Metro station in Prince George’s County.

The man “intentionally placed himself in the path of the train,” around 10:20 p.m., said Metro spokesman Ron Holzer.

Metro said service was delayed. Blue Line trains in the area were limited to a single track. Silver Line passengers from Virginia were required to transfer to the Blue Line to continue their trips beyond Eastern Market, Metro said.
