Detectives on Saturday arrested a suspect in a fatal shooting that took place in Northeast Washington in January, D.C. police said.
Shelby Jones, 17, of Waldorf, Md., was arrested and charged with first-degree murder while armed, police said in a statement. Jones is being charged as an adult.
The shooting happened just after 2 p.m. Jan. 12 in the basement of a duplex on Riggs Road NE, near Eastern Avenue and the District-Maryland border.
Arriving at the house, police found two adult males and a teenager suffering from gunshot wounds. The teen, D.C. resident Davon Fisher, 17, died of his injuries after being transported to a hospital.
